01

Who we are

This policy explains how JK Intelligent Technology Limited (“JK Intelligent”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit jkcnz.com, contact us, or use our products and services.

We are a New Zealand-incorporated company based in Auckland, and we comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its thirteen Information Privacy Principles (IPPs). Where our services involve overseas customers or hosting, we apply the equivalent principles of the relevant jurisdiction (e.g. the GDPR for EU residents).

02

What we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Contact information you provide directly: name, email address, phone, company, and the contents of any message you send us.
  • Account & usage data from products operated by us or our partners (e.g. VisaBuddy, Concierge, Paritua Portal, Nexcave SuperAgent), including login credentials, activity logs, and content you input.
  • Technical data automatically captured when you visit our websites: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, referring page, and aggregate analytics events.
  • Information provided by partners in the course of joint engagements (e.g. domain knowledge content, anonymised case data) under written agreement.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

03

How we use it

We use personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected, including:

  • delivering and improving our products and services;
  • responding to enquiries and providing support;
  • operating, securing, and auditing our systems;
  • meeting legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, including those imposed on our licensed partners (e.g. IAA obligations for immigration advice);
  • business analytics and product development, on aggregated or de-identified data wherever possible.
04

AI processing

Some of our products use large language models, retrieval, and automation to assist domain experts. Where customer data is sent to a model:

  • we minimise the data sent and avoid sending sensitive identifiers where they are not required;
  • where commercially reasonable, we prefer on-device or regional inference for local-first deployments (e.g. Smart NAS);
  • we do not allow third-party model providers to use customer content to train their general models;
  • AI-generated suggestions presented to advisors are reviewed by a qualified human before being sent to end clients.
05

Sharing & disclosure

We share personal information only when:

  • you authorise it (e.g. when you engage with one of our licensed partners through a product);
  • a service provider operates on our behalf under a confidentiality and data-protection agreement (hosting, analytics, email);
  • disclosure is required by law, by a court order, or to protect the safety of any person.

We do not sell personal information.

06

Storage & cross-border transfer

We host our infrastructure on reputable cloud providers and, where commercially reasonable, prefer regions located in or near New Zealand. Some service providers may process data in other jurisdictions; we only use providers that offer comparable safeguards as required by IPP 12 of the Privacy Act 2020.

We retain personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law.

07

Security

We apply commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access control, audit logging, and the principle of least privilege. No system is perfectly secure; if a privacy breach occurs that causes serious harm, we will notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and affected individuals as required by law.

08

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • request access to the personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction of information that is inaccurate;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of New Zealand.

Requests should be sent to contact@jkintelligent.nz. We aim to respond within 20 working days.

09

Cookies & analytics

Our marketing site uses minimal first-party storage required for display preferences and basic analytics. Where third-party analytics is enabled, it is configured for IP anonymisation and short retention. You can disable cookies in your browser without losing functional access to this site.
